What we do
What We Optimise
Images and Media
Images are usually the largest files on a Shopify page, so they are the first place we look:
- Resize and compress product and banner images
- Serve modern formats like WebP
- Lazy load images below the fold
- Replace heavy sliders and autoplay videos
The result is the same look with a fraction of the file size.
Apps and Third-Party Scripts
Every app adds scripts that load on your pages, even on pages where the app is not used. We review and fix:
- Apps that load on every page but are only needed on one
- Leftover code from apps you have already removed
- Chat, review and pop-up scripts loading too early
- Tracking pixels and tag managers
- Duplicate jQuery and font files
- Apps that can be replaced with a few lines of theme code
Theme Code
The theme itself can slow the store down when it carries unused sections and code. We work on:
- Cleaning up slow Liquid loops and snippets
- Removing unused CSS and JavaScript
- Deferring scripts that are not needed straight away
- Preloading key fonts and the hero image
- Reducing the number of requests on each page
Core Web Vitals
Core Web Vitals are how Google measures the experience on your pages. We target:
- Largest Contentful Paint, how fast the main content shows
- Interaction to Next Paint, how fast taps respond
- Cumulative Layout Shift, how much the page jumps
- Mobile first, where most of your shoppers are
- Product and collection pages, not just the homepage

How it works
Our Shopify Speed Optimization Process
- 1
Speed audit
We test your homepage, collection, product and cart pages with Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse on mobile and desktop, and record the results.
- 2
Find the causes
We list every app, script, image and section that slows the store down, with its real impact.
- 3
Plan and quote
You get a list of fixes, what each one is expected to improve and a fixed price.
- 4
Optimise in a duplicate theme
All changes are made in a copy of your theme, so your live store keeps selling.
- 5
Test and compare
We run the same tests again and share the before and after results with you.
- 6
Publish
Once you approve, we publish the faster theme and check that orders, apps and tracking still work.
Why Shopify Stores Get Slow
Most Shopify stores start fast and slow down over time. Each new app adds its own scripts. Large product photos get uploaded straight from the camera. Old apps leave code behind in the theme after they are removed. Sliders, videos and pop-ups pile up on the homepage. None of these feel big on their own, but together they can push your mobile load time well past what shoppers will wait for.
Shopify's servers are fast, so the problem is almost always inside the theme and the apps. That is where we work.
Core Web Vitals, Explained Simply
Google measures three things on every page. Largest Contentful Paint is how quickly the main content, usually the hero image or product photo, appears. Interaction to Next Paint is how quickly the page responds when someone taps a button. Cumulative Layout Shift is how much the page jumps around while it loads. Passing all three helps your pages rank and makes the store feel smooth to shoppers. Our work targets each one directly.
Speed Without Losing Features
Speed work should not mean a plain, empty store. We keep the sections, apps and tracking you need, and make them load smarter: images in modern formats at the right size, scripts that wait until they are needed, and features rebuilt in the theme instead of heavy apps. You keep the store your customers know, it just loads faster.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can't find your answer? Ask us on a free call.
Does store speed really affect sales?
Yes. Visitors leave slow pages, especially on mobile, and Google uses Core Web Vitals as part of how it ranks pages. A faster store usually means more people stay, browse more products and reach checkout.
What PageSpeed score can you reach?
It depends on your theme, apps and content. Most stores we work on see a clear jump in their mobile score and load time. We measure before we start and give you an honest target in the quote instead of a promise we cannot keep.
Will speed work break my theme or apps?
All changes are made in a duplicate theme first and tested page by page. If an app is slowing your store down, we tell you and suggest a lighter option before removing anything.
Do you remove my apps?
Only with your approval. We list every app with its impact on speed, so you can decide which ones are worth keeping. Some features can be rebuilt in the theme without an app at all.
How long does speed optimization take?
Most speed projects take one to two weeks, including testing. Stores with a large number of apps or custom code can take a little longer.
Will my store stay fast?
Speed can drop again as you add apps, images and sections. We give you simple rules for images and apps, and we offer a quick check-up every few months if you want one.
